ZADIG & VOLTAIRE
The Remix Lab

Zadig & Voltaire is the definitive voice of French "easy luxury," defined by a rock-and-roll soul and an archive of iconic, rebellious motifs. To celebrate the brand’s 20th anniversary, I developed a concept that bridges the gap between heritage and the future of retail: The Remix Lab. Instead of simply looking back at the last two decades, this project invites the community to participate in it. Using an interactive digital interface, customers can superimpose and color-customize 17 of the brand’s most legendary graphics, from the signature wings to the rock-inspired skulls, to create and purchase their own unique piece of Z&V history.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creative Strategy: Developed the "Remix" concept to honor the brand's 20-year archive while driving digital engagement.

  • Visual Design: Curated and refined 17 legacy motifs, ensuring they remained aesthetically cohesive when layered and blended.

  • UX/UI Concept: Designed the flow for a custom web-to-print interface, focusing on a seamless "mix and match" user experience.

  • Art Direction: Produced a series of "hero" combinations (136 possible pairings) to demonstrate the versatility and edge of the superimposed designs.
